Haven’t Met You Yet - Perry Gladstone 2003 Out on the streets I can feel you near I think I see, I think I hear A passing glimpse, a shout afar Was it you I saw in the back of that car I smile at you each chance I get A pretty face, a friendly chat Can’t take the chance of passing you by You’re all I want, you’re my whole life Chorus: It’s been so long since we got along but I haven’t met you yet I cried so long about all my wrongs but I haven’t met you yet I’d do it all, if you’d just call but I haven’t met you yet Its clear to me our destiny and I haven’t even met you yet Your a redhead, blonde, brunette and bronzed Olive, ivory or ebony Your Asian eyes, make me sigh You’re a perfect island beauty I’ve spoken your name over’n’over again It only makes me messy Won’t let you go, ‘cause all I know Is that I’m still here and waiting Chorus

Eleanor’s Eyes (Perry Gladstone) The bird had no idea That she sat on a ledge just above the walk The temperature was below zero The washing on the line was frozen where it hung When Eleanor left her apartment It was a crisp winter morning and her hair was done The washing caught her attention She looked into the sky and it came undone Chorus She lept, it sprang and the branch did sprung The tiny icicle it began its plunge Eleanor looked up to the sky The Doctor said it was his very best glass eye When Eleanor walked home from the clinic She stood at the cross walk and looked one way Mrs. Mellonby’s wash was still hanging And She was on the ledge waiting for new prey A cardboard box and some tuna Was all it took to coax her from her perch Eleanor went to the toy store She bought matching perfect marbles then went straight to church Chorus Sign on the door says keep the cat in The Doctor’s by the punch bowl and so proud of his work Eleanor’s guests don’t know her secret But cat can’t see as it trips under foot Chorus Copyright 2006, Perry Gladstone

Girl on the Bus (Ian Herold) This is a message to the girl on the bus Don’t know your name, but maybe you could tell me All about you though really there’s no rush A conversation would really make me happy You sit in front of me or maybe right beside With your long pretty legs and crazy wavy salad I check you out I don’t even try to Hide But we don’t talk so nothing going to happen Chorus You look at me that way, makes me want to come out and say Hey girl-your so fine, we should have some fun sometime If it would be all right I just wanna take you out tonight But you just said no….. Intro This is a message to the girl on the bus Ya the one who pretends she doesn’t notice I admit it I guess I got a crush Maybe I just don’t know how to show it You sip your coffee and I take a drink of mine Sitting so close but hardly ever speaking Reading a book or sleeping sometimes Try to read you mind and wonder what your thinking You look at me that way, makes me want to come out and say Hey girl-your so fine, we should have some fun sometime If it would be all right I just wanna take you out tonight But you’ve got a date…. This is a message to the girl on the bus I wrote this song to tell you what I’m thinking I’m disappointed ‘cuz they’ll probly be no ‘us’ What would you want with a skanky musician You look at me that way, makes me want to come out and say Hey girl-your so fine, we should have some fun sometime Just want to be your friend, but you turned me down again So I bought a car… Copyright 2003, Ian Herold. Karina is a Surfboard (Gladstone 2006) She lives in my make up world where everything’s blue and gold And I can’t help- but fall A genie I thought was mine all thoughts from another time painful lessons never learned- and it still burns Please see me for who I am my actions are all I can And I can’t Help myself Help myself Help myself This sorry troubadour has lost his new surfboard And waves come crashing down So no more make up world and no more tales of gold the path is clear so help yourself help yourself- the path is clear

PROFIT 03:01
P-R-O-F-I-T (Perry Gladstone) Now here’s your job so do it Don’t make a fuss or fight Just keep on making money And all will be alright Here’s your food so eat it Its made to grow itself Don’t worry how, or think of what It might do to your health Chorus P-R-O-F-I-T that’s how they spell democracy P-R-O-F-I-T that’s how they spell democracy One party to the left One party to the right The vote that really matters is your dollar So use your wallet to fight Profit motive is the system It tells you what you can do The reality that tomorrow brings Is up to me and you Chorus Here’s the news that you should know And nothing you should not It spins a web of fear and lies To make sure you stay caught Now here’s your life’s ambition So you can save the time Of thinking for yourself and Get back to making mine- my life! Chorus The profit machine has society Locked up in a Corporacracy

Train in Vain (The Clash) You say you stand by your man Tell me something I don't understand You said you love me and that's a fact And then you left me, said you felt trapped Well some things you can explain away But the heartache's with me till this day [Chorus] Did you stand by me No, not at all Did you stand by me No way All the times When we were close I'll remember these things the most I see all my dreams come tumbling down I can't be happy without you around So all alone I keep the wolves at bay And there is only one thing that I can say Did you stand by me No, not at all Did you stand by me No way You must explain why this must be Did you lie when you spoke to me Did you stand by me No, not at all Now I got a job But it don't pay I need new clothes I need somewhere to stay But without all these things I can do But without your love I won't make it through But you don't understand my point of view I suppose there's nothing I can do Did you stand by me No, not at all Did you stand by me No way You must explain why this must be Did you lie when you spoke to me? Did you stand by me Did you stand by me No, not at all Did you stand by me No way Did you stand by me No, not at all Did you stand by me No way

His Latest Flame (Marie's the Name) A very old friend came by today 'cause he was telling everyone in town About the love that he just found And marie's the name of his latest flame He talked and talked and I heard him say That she had the longest blackest hair The prettiest green eyes anywhere And marie's the name of his latest flame Though I smiled the tears inside were a-burning I wished him luck and then he said goodbye He was gone but still his words kept returning What else was there for me to do but cry Would you believe that yesterday This girl was in my arms and swore to me She'd be mine eternally And marie's the name of his latest flame Though I smiled the tears inside were a-burning I wished him luck and then he said goodbye He was gone but still his words kept returning What else was there for me to do but cry Would you believe that yesterday This girl was in my arms and swore to me She'd be mine eternally And marie's the name of his latest flame....

Time for signs (Gladstone 2006) A song about greed rips through my mind A reaching glow across the tree-torn sky Glossing over the times that stung filling our spaces with the promise of fun I’d like to be in a mood carefree I’d like to take a little time to dream No more saluting of bureaucracy New world rhythms are way off beat Chorus (instrumental) A shift to the right marks the sign of our times Election and selection are a march of dimes A ballot in the box just another blue pill Independence co-opted as we market free will Chorus Put me back in a mood carefree Tell me more about my hopes and dreams Scare me straight about democracy And remake our world in the image of greed

Happy without you (Gladstone 2006) Why don't you call for me, Like I call for you What will I ever do If I can't be with you Will I ever learn to love myself Enough to stay on course keep my mental health Will I ever learn how to take my turn To let the past be free, live harmoniously Chorus I know we decided that this was best but now I’m left with a hole in my chest Where you once were is now all flat, the wind blows through and sets me back All I see and all I do is look around and see its you Here and there your brown blond hair, your curvy shape your gentle stare When will you come to me Baby can't you see I see you on the streets I see you in my dreams Come take this pain from me Dilute it in the sea Where mother takes me in Her ocean sets me free Chorus Bridge All these crazy thoughts Dull my sense for naught For I can only grow When I let you go Chorus- x2

Walking On The Moon (Sting) Giant steps are what you take Walking on the moon I hope my legs don't break Walking on the moon We could walk forever Walking on the moon We could be together Walking on, walking on the moon Some may say I'm wishing my days away No way And if it's the price I pay Some say Tomorrow's another day You stay I may as well play Walking back from your house Walking on the moon I'm walking home from your house Walking on the moon My feet don't hardly make a sound Walking on the moon Feet don't hardly touch the ground Walking on, walking on the moon Some may say I'm wishing my days away No way And if it's the price I pay Some say Tomorrow's another day You stay I may as well play Tomorrow's another day Tomorrow's another day Tomorrow's another day Tomorrow's another day

Bee On The Bus (Gladstone) The windows were open with spring in the air My beauty walked on after paying her fare And paid she no mind, a bee in her hair The seats were all taken but one by the stair Cut at the knee commanding a stare The season anew a skirt she did dare With hands at her sides, she bent for the chair And sat on the bee as it took to the air Chorus A bee bit my ass on the bus A bee bit my ass A bee bit my ass A bee bit my ass!!!! My beauty lept up a curse thrown about Taken aback at what came from her mouth The passengers shocked it was beyond doubt Too late for the bee who’s life had gone out Chorus Repeat first verse Chorus

about

When I decided to record this, my first record I wanted it to be a tribute to the music and the people that had the most influence on my life. Each of the covers represents an artist or band that I admire and looked up to. Of course there are many others but there had to be room for my own stuff too haha.
